    What is Mashiko Pottery Market?

    Earthenware city begins in 1966 (Showa 41) and, in usual, is held around spring Golden Week and autumn November 3. Other than store about 50 store, about 500 tents stand in a row, and daily necessities, artworks such as cup or plate are sold by traditional Mashiko ware.
    We can enjoy conversation with craftsman of rising artist and pottery directly by tent. Not only ceramic ware but also sale such as local farm products is carried out, and there are about a little less than 600,000 crowds in spring and summer.
    In addition, at the end of earthenware city, there is shop performing sale.

    Lunch is recommended to cafe!

    There are some cafe, restaurants around Mashiko Pottery Market, and there is shop providing with container of Mashiko ware a lot. Let's heal body which was tired of walking in cafe of calm atmosphere.
